social media marketingSince body language equates to 90 percent of our communication, it makes sense why more people are shifting toward videos for their social media strategy. Are you? If you have not been using videos to help promote your social media page, you are not getting the most out of your social media marketing. A video is not only easy to use and create; it also makes it easy for consumers to engage.

If you think text will suffice, you are missing out on how videos can change your business. The largest age demographics and target market for advertising are the millennials, and if you want to reach these 70 million people, you must cater to their communication preference by marketing in a whole new way.

Here are some ways you can change your social media marketing strategy

Facebook

Recently, Facebook has launched the Facebook Live video option, which means you can post live videos of your business. What should you video? Record anything that tells consumers who you are, what you offer, and how your business can improve lives.

If you are a dental office, what better way to advertise your cosmetic dentistry by capturing a live video of a patient seeing their smile makeover for the first time! You could even post a “How-to” video of how completing online paperwork in the patient portal. Other ideas could be dental hygiene practices, how to floss correctly, and more!

Snapchat

Snapchat is on the forefront of video views in social media. Part of Snapchat’s success is based on its simplicity and the ease of use. Plus, it is super cool among millennials. Don’t be afraid of the unknown with this one, learn how to use it and post videos that help attract consumers to your business.

Twitter

Known for its text, this social media platform is changing its act, big time. Twitter has a partnership to begin streaming NFL games, which inevitably means change for the better. The live streaming capacity will lead to enhanced features for its users.

Technology

Five years ago, posting videos was not a “thing.” The technology simply wasn’t there yet. With streaming capabilities, we now can stream without interruption, plus videos can be produced at a lower cost than before. Content can be uploaded immediately. As technology moves forward, it can only get better from here.
