I recently visited a colleague and asked about his membership plan. He replied that he did not have one and said, “I don’t want to start anything new.”  You may be thinking along the same lines or figure that since you accept dental insurance or third-party financing, you don’t need another payment option.

A membership plan can do so much for your office. With the state of dental insurance today, it’s nice to offer a perk to your patients that will not only save them money but can allow the uninsured access to affordable dental care. A membership plan allows your uninsured patients to feel like they can receive treatment at a reasonable cost.

There are multiple reasons you’ll want to implement a membership plan, not only for your patients but for your dental office. The process is easy for your team as well.

Your business can benefit from:

You’re getting paid for the membership plan regardless of the patient’s use. It provides a stable monthly income.

This will save your team tremendous time chasing down outstanding insurance claims or submitting and resubmitting already submitted documentation. This will also eliminate the need for post-insurance billing.

The majority of patients do not understand insurance. If your team can spend a few minutes explaining a membership plan, the patient can decide for themselves that a membership plan is usually better and less expensive than insurance coverage. There are no limitations on the membership plan, including waiting periods or maximums, which makes explaining treatment plans much easier.

Once a client is set up, it’s like fixing it and forgetting it. Set up the client, and payments are automatically recurring. You will be notified if there is a change with the payment.

There are many choices available for membership plans. We recommend you have a few demo sessions. Bryant Consultants partners with Plan Forward.
